Village at Arrowhead Shopping Center Combines Fun and Food Drive at Free Family Event
Glendale, AZ (PRWEB) July 11, 2008 -- Families can have fun as well as helping others at the Family Fun Picnic and Food Drive Aug. 2 from noon to 2 p.m. at The Village at Arrowhead Shopping Center, 20040 N. 67th Ave. in Glendale.
Under the Center's cool misting system children and adults can enjoy clowns as they make exciting balloon creations, calliope music, five different popular bounces, magic shows, face painting, a cake walk, caricature drawings, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn and $1 hot dogs from AJ's Fine Foods. Admission is two cans of non-perishable food per person.
"The Family Fun Picnic and Food Drive is the perfect solution for parents and grandparents who want to get out of the house and do something fun with the kids," said Mary Walker, coordinator of the event and president of Power Promotions. "Since the event will be under our misting system the temperature will be comfortable and the kids can have the opportunity to enjoy a little outdoor activity and blow off a little of their own steam. And, as with many of the events at The Village at Arrowhead, we are incorporating the event with a community service project. The food banks really suffer from decreased donations during the summer, so this food drive will provide a needed boost for the St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance."
The Village at Arrowhead offers specialty shops that provide the ultimate shopping experience with distinctive fashion, home furnishings, restaurants and personal services in one of the most architecturally unique and aesthetically pleasing shopping centers in the West Valley.
The shopping center is located on the southwest corner of 67th Avenue at the Loop 101 in Glendale. For more information contact Marks Public Relations at 480-664-3004.

Entertaining In Your Home: How Much Is Enough Seating?
It has been conventional wisdom that the ideal amount of seating for a home party is one seat for every guest. The hosts of a party would carefully count the number of available seating spaces and compare that to the guest list. If the total of guests exceeded the seating capacity, it would be time to seek some additional chairs. This often involved borrowing some folding chairs, and setting them up inside the party area.
