Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty (FLCB) links the region's farms, wineries, restaurants and small-scale processors. Established in 1999, FLCB is a volunteer organization that includes more than 125 farms, producers and restaurants that take regional pride to a new level by promoting the diverse range of locally grown produce and products to distributors, restaurants and catering companies in New York. The organization's goal is to create an extraordinary culinary experience for tourists and to contribute to the economic well-being of farms, food producers, wineries and the local community.
Gourmet Produce Grown in Finger Lakes Wine Country
From micro-producing cheese makers to organic small family farms, there is a smorgasbord of local produce available across Finger Lakes Wine Country.
Keuka Lake Coffee Roasters offers a wide selection of high quality gourmet coffee blends roasted and processed on the shores of Keuka Lake. Launched in 2004, co-owners Brian Friguliette and Susan Atkisson source small quantities of high-end coffee beans from Africa and Central America. Specialty blends include Harvest Spice Blend with maple and cinnamon, Scandinavian Blend with ginger and almond and Italian Chocolate Raspberry. Specialty food products include 'Java Rubs' and new 'Java Sprinkles' in a line called Java-Gourmet.
Java-Gourmet has received national recognition by the NASFT, the premier organization representing the specialty food trade. The Java Rub Sicilian Citrus was chosen as a Silver Finalist in the Outstanding Shelf-Stable Foodservice Product. Lively Run Goat Dairy is home to 100 Alpine, Nubian, Saanen and South African Boer goats, Lively Run was one of the first goat dairy producers in New York State, starting production in 1982. The dairy is best known for chevre in a variety of flavors (Fine Herb, Garlic and Pepper, Rose Pepper Corn), the unique Cayuga Blue goat cheese and feta. All cheese produced contains no preservatives, food colors or artificial colors. Lively Run Goad Dairy has been featured in Oprah and Food & Wine magazines.
McDonald Farm is a 220-acre certified organic, pasture-based, multi-species, small family farm is a prime example of Restorative Agriculture practice and follows the 'Clean Food Movement' philosophy -- absence of chemicals and antibiotics and a stress-free environment for animals. Finger Lakes Farmstead Cheese strives to produce premium quality cheese, handcrafted from locally produced milk, offering great taste and value to the consumer while supporting a family farm.
