Monrovia, CA (PRWEB) May 20, 2008 -- From the beginning Arlene knew that being a working mother would be a necessity after suffering Postpartum Depression after the birth of her first child Olivia. Being home alone with her daughter only worsened her symptoms of crying and feelings of numbness with the world. When Arlene was done teaching at the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena she filled her afternoons by obsessively making frozen baby food. This is how Nummy Nums was "born".

With Arlene's second child Rose, her Postpartum Depression was increasingly more severe than with Rose. Although it was still a shock to her she knew what to do and cut her maternity leave short to only 6 weeks and went back to teaching. She then went right back into working on getting Nummy Nums a retail outlet and into grocery stores.

On February 29, 2008 Arlene's family celebrated the Grand Opening of Nummy Nums in Monrovia, California. Arlene's goal was to have the store be a meeting place for parent groups and clubs like Stroller Strides or Moms Club. The store is equipped with a separate play area for the babies to play and a Quiet Room complete with a rocking chair and diaper changing table.

On May 22, 2008 Arlene B. Yanover will be sampling her gourmet frozen baby food to the Tustin area in Whole Foods. Parents often wonder how she does it, having three jobs that is; parenting, teaching and being an entrepreneur. Being crazy busy is her therapy to get her mind off the PPD. She does looks forward to the not too distant future when her PPD will subside and be able to spend more time with her daughters and maybe even be a stay at home mom. Or at least juggle being with them at the Monrovia store while running Nummy Nums.
